    "Dog walkers are frequently seen in our neighborhood. People are friendly and stop to talk to neighbors if they see them out in their yards or on the porch. This is a nice community. There are rumors that you have to be born here to be accepted but that’s ridiculous. We are a military family who moved into the area years ago and it’s been lovely. "

The commute to the base is under 15 minutes, even with traffic. And all is the conveniences you’d find in the city are available with a short drive. Mall, home improvement stores, all of the restaurant choices, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, movie theaters, Target, etc. we absolutely love living in Poquoson and plan to retire here someday. "
