4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLopez Early College High School in my opinion, shouldn't be your choice of school. As a current student studying in this school, I'd do anything to have some sort of better education. It's not hell, it's actually pretty mediocre. I wanna try to include everything i can think about while talking about this school, focusing more on the people there, which I know can't be fixed. You can't compare a school like Lopez to one of the better schools in Brownsville like Veterans. Considering we're in the southmost area, money is sparse sometimes, and every club has to fundraise practically everything. Students shouldn't be worrying if they can host fun events, and not if half the schools money is going towards the athletic department. The students in itself is expected for high school. Aslong as you have a group that you hang out with, nobody will care. I think when you're alone, you're prone to bullying, which isn't a big issue in this school, vaping and drugs is seen everywhere. I think my first encounter with someone who actually vaped and was casually talking about it was in my freshman year. Aslong as you don't hang out with the wrong people, you won't encounter that. However, most people who do vape or do drugs are mostly calm about it, it's not like in the movies where their literally begging you to take a hit. There's so many people in this school, it's hard to really expeirence bullying. I've heard namecalling and people calling me the n word for fun but it's never serious. There's many unique people here, we're a 99.8% hispanic school i think, i've seen like 3 black people but that's about it. There needs to be more clubs honestly. The arts in this school are amazing, especially the dancers and band. The director/coach for Golden Stars knows what she's doing and everyone in band is really good in my opinion. But there's also choir, art, graphic design, theatre and even a club for podcasts i think? The choir is good, and so is theatre. There's talented people in art and graphic design and it's obvious. Something i wish this school had is money i guess, more funding. It's not that our school looks bad, but the AC is broken in many classes, im over here dying (not really) in math class, while the teachers have to be in there all day. The tiles of the ceiling above have broken in like 2 of my classes, and they don't do anything to fix it. Backstage of the theatre there's a leak in the water, which is dangerous. This is just my opinion.!Student Review1y ago4 Reviews - Lucio Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageit's an okay school, with how kids are these days, this middle school is trying it's best to keep up. Amazing teachers, they really deserve better payment :/, and security are both awesome actual security guards and adults you can count on. The principal is erm.. uh... and that's pretty much it. No hate to this school, there's little bullying & stuff like that, one of the only good things are the fun activities and the teachers, you can tell they really love their job and stuff.Other Review2y ago2 Reviews - Brownsville Early College High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExcelente preparatoria. Parent Review1y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 5961 Tecate Dr.
