Many of the reviews for this school are outdated, so I wanted to share my own experience. This school had its good and bad sides. There were mild bug infestations, and many of the classrooms were old and unclean. The students often misbehaved, and the overall environment felt chaotic. As a member of the Class of 2024, I was deeply disappointed, especially with the outdated technology, which fell far behind that of other schools. Teachers seemed indifferent, often sitting back while students acted out. It was common for students to vape in the bathrooms and smear wet paper on mirrors and floors. The cafeteria started off decent but became dirty and poorly maintained. I also noticed instances of favoritism, particularly towards female students, which felt unfair to the boys. There were no extracurricular activities or programs offered during school, which made it feel lacking in opportunities. Despite these issues, I give the school three stars solely because of one outstanding teacher I had in both 7th and 8th grade, whose name I won’t mention.

My 6th grade child got pizza thrown at her in the beginning of the school year in the lunch room. Then in December another child offered her to vape in the lunchroom. When my child said no and told someone. That kid attacked my child beating her up badly. The school has done nothing to help my child feel safe. The school Principal Ms Moser is an Awful school leader and should be removed immediately from further caring for these children's well being. I Do not think anyone who cares about their child should bring there kid here.

Everything about this school is below average by far. 95% of the teachers give either work thats too easy to the point we don't learn, or teach very poorly. The other 5% of teachers are decent but the work is still not up to par with other schools in course rigor. You may get good scores in class until you take an AP test where your grades don't matter. This school had potential but has completely ruined itself. Some of the teachers promote skipping classes (particularly gym teachers), which really isn't what you need.Some of the rooms have mold growing in the floors and (from my experience) has been there for at least 3 years. I thought this school would have been good but I was so wrong.The only part of the school that is decent is the vast number of clubs (which 80% of them fall on Thursday).If you live over 40 minutes away don't go to school as it starts at 7:15 once youre junior/senior.

I had a very disappointing experience working at this school. The environment was extremely toxic, unprofessional, and stressful from the moment I started. The administration, especially the principal, created a culture based on intimidation instead of leadership. Staff members were frequently spoken to disrespectfully, yelled at publicly, and made to feel unsupported. Professional concerns were often dismissed instead of properly addressed.The principal’s behavior toward teachers and staff was completely inappropriate for someone in a leadership position. There was constant tension throughout the building, and many employees were clearly burnt out, overwhelmed, or looking for a way out. The turnover rate speaks for itself — teachers and staff leave constantly, and it’s easy to understand why once you work there.The scheduling changes and daily expectations were chaotic and poorly organized, making it difficult for both teachers and students to succeed. Staff were expected to “figure it out” without proper support, communication, or teamwork. Co-teaching support was inconsistent, and many teachers were left carrying the workload alone while administration ignored the real issues happening inside classrooms.What was even more disappointing was the lack of meaningful support when problems were brought up. Even the UFT chapter leader acknowledged how toxic the environment was, yet nothing ever improved. Instead of helping staff feel valued and supported, the culture made people feel anxious, disposable, and constantly on edge.This school desperately needs better leadership, accountability, and respect for staff. There are good students there who deserve stability and support, but the administration creates an environment that makes it difficult for both teachers and students to thrive. I would strongly advise anyone considering employment here to do extensive research before accepting a position.
