my child was in a special Ed classroom at the school. they treat the kids in these classes so unfairly. I was told by my child that the teachers made them clean the lunchroom, aren't they supposed to be learning? Instead, she was forced by their teachers to pick up a mess which she was not responsible for it wasn't just them it was the other kids, this school is very cruel towards kids with disabilities and will not let them have a future or help them get an education after, the reason why? For the special needs kids they will not be able to go to college because they will be given a exceptional diploma and if they want to they will have to get an education all over again at the local college for a GED! This is absolutely vile. If you have special needs kids please find a school more accepting and that encourages a great future for your kid! My child was very unlucky for this, I wish I could have done put my child at a better school if I knew her future would never be ensured here. This school needs to be investigated.

They put kids in trouble for petty things, such as lightly pulling on a backpack, as I have witnessed. Two kids lightly leaning on each other before class started was deemed as horse playing, which makes no sense, as class hadn't started and wouldn't for about 2 minutes. They get on kids for saying words like hell, then some of the teachers say worse. In all, Gifford Middle School is built on hypocrisy, and should be reformed.

I don’t recommend the school. If your a parent that like things orderly like me it won’t fit. They are supposed to call and let you know what is coming up the following week and sometimes they forget and leave things out. School drop off is okay but pick up is not. They will have someone at the front walking around the carline getting your child’s numbers and radioing them to whoever in the front. By the time you go the whole way around at least two teachers have already checked your car but then suddenly your met with your in line and your child isn’t coming to your car and they are confused because they were talking the whole time. So all the people coming to your car checking your number only to at the end waiting for your child because teachers are talking to whole time. Teacher came to my car to talk to me and the. After she left thought I didn’t hear her and she went to the principle and then started talking about me I front my child before my child even got in the car… so disrespectful. Teachers just sit with cop and flirt it seems like as I’ve observed everyday sitting in line waiting. Front desk treats you like a child when you call Instead of a parent. Some Teachers don’t teach on the board and instead they use a computer to teach your child all day. Library carries books my daughter said “seem inappropriate” her words… about horror. My daughter walked around all day without her shoes tied because not one adult would tie her shoes…. Like what if she slips and fall though I’m sure they won’t like that lawsuit. Side of school looks like a working zone with stuffed piled everywhere. And my daughter said they didn’t have air conditioning a day or two and I wasn’t even notified
