1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is by far one of the worst schools I have ever dealt with. The administration operates under what they call a “matrix structure,” but in reality, it feels like decisions are already made before parents even get a chance to speak. My daughter was accused of PDA, and that alone was enough for them to send her to DEAP — a school where students are dealing with fights, drugs, and serious behavioral issues. They tell parents there is an appeal process, but honestly, it feels like a complete waste of time because they already made up their minds before the hearing even started. The so-called “matrix structure” guarantees you won’t win.The appeal process itself was uncomfortable and unprofessional. One administrator kept repeating the accusation over and over again, despite the fact that we already understood why we were there. Hearing those accusations about our child was already difficult enough without someone unnecessarily repeating them multiple times. We finally had to tell them to stop because it was excessive and disrespectful. The front office staff also appeared poorly trained and unprofessional. One employee literally referred to a clock as a “TikTok on the wall,” which honestly says a lot about the level of competence at this school. The counselors are no better. They provide little to no real help when it comes to preparing students for college or guiding them toward opportunities for their future. What makes this situation even more frustrating is the inconsistency in discipline. A student made online threats against the school and was allowed back within a month. Meanwhile, my daughter was removed and sent to DEAP for 15 days over a PDA accusation. The double standard is unbelievable.I even contacted my children’s previous school to ask how they would have handled the same situation my daughter was involved in. Their response was simple: she would have received ISS, not been sent to DEAP. That alone showed me how extreme and unreasonable this school’s punishment was.Because of this entire experience, I removed all of my children from this school and enrolled them in a school in Houston that actually has structure, professionalism, and a better environment for students to succeed.Overall, this school’s administration lacks professionalism, fairness, consistency, and genuine concern for students and families.Parent Review2mo ago7 Reviews - Cleveland Middle School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids went to this school for 1/2 a year, I can't say nothing bad I thought it would be worse, but it turn out to be a fun experience for my son and daughter. Bad thing is that this year wont be an elementary anymore.Parent Review3y ago1 Reviews - Eastside Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are some great teachers there who actually care about their students and their education, but like with any place, one bad apple can spoil the bunch and in this case, there are only a handful of good apples. Majority of the staff are Hispanic, and hate to put it this way, but if you aren't Hispanic or part of the Hispanic crowd, you are not on the in's and will be treated as such. I have been treated rudely by several staff members, and have ran into issues with teachers. This place does not run like a well-oiled machine. Poor communication with the parents from the school administration. Very poor response back from the administration when you try to reach out to them personally to address issues. They have these kids and the whole building functioning like a poorly orchestrated prison. (literally badge in, badge out of what seems like every door.) Forget going to any school functions and anything going smoothly. Honestly, pulling kiddos out asap and going back to homeschooling. I put them in public school due to personal circumstances and wanting to give them a year to try it out, but this was by far the worst decision ever. My children went in knowing more than when they are leaving. We are in fact having to take a step back and go over old materials we already covered before they stepped foot in that school. My children have been begging me to come home and stay home to do homeschool. They don't even like going anymore, which is sad/scary considering they were so excited to be going to school. I feel like this place has really ruined the idea of public school for them ever again.Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 59 Highway Blvd.
