6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVisited the ELA teacher and assistant principal after my 7th grade son was given a poem to study " Strong women" . I asked what the poem in fact meant and asked for an explanation only to be told by the assistant principal she was not going to discuss and she appeared agitated by raising my question. Needless to say my son will not be returning to this type of administration who clearly refuse to be accountable to a parent with concerns.Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Matanzas High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageConsidering this school sits on the proverbial "Space Coast " it does not teach Physics. Advanced diploma AICE is strictly run on a cohort basis and you are only allowed to follow subjects based on your graded year. Research has shown that this type of administration is totally against academic advancement curtailing students through grade year only. Online it states that you can pick any subject no matter what grade you are in which is untrue The guidance counselor is directed strictly by the AICE administrator and is unable to help you aquire the subjects that you bid on. Flagler County School District is not willing to change this type of administration, you have to stay within your cohort year, that is a negative since advancement is withheld for students who are motivated. Out of seven teachers only two who are there and are not just there for their salary but in fact care about the students, Thinking skills and Spannish 1 . If you want to quickly advance in.your chosen education pathway it is possible by using FLVS who have many subjects available and without an administration meddling in your career hindering. This is a basic educational brick and mortar school , there is no room for advancement.Parent Review1mo ago9 Reviews - Belle Terre Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe kid to teacher ratio is way too high. They do not have enough teachers for the massive influx of kids they now have. They have “lost” my child saying she was absent when she was in her class. The bus was late picking her up so the teacher marked her absent and then I called to the school to see what was going on they said she was on a field trip. My child got home that day and I found out that she never was on a field trip and was in class the whole day. They have to split the class every time they do stuff and leave half behind because of the teacher to kid ratio. Anytime I’ve needed to call the school I am sent to a voicemail and then half to wait 1-2 days later for a call back. I have had a teacher lose my child’s book that was brought in for a school project and was never informed that she lost it. I then proceeded for 3 weeks trying to get it back or have the teacher look for it. The teacher finally told me that I had to apply for a “pass” to access the classroom to look for the book myself since she “couldn’t herself”. My child’s teacher also would not stop pulling my child by her backpack to the point that it hurt her shoulders. I had to schedule a meeting with the vice principal to get her to stop. She then proceeded to do it again and when I contacted the school and superintendent about it I never got a call back until 3 days later and calling more than once after. Just for a person at Belle Terre to say that no other kids saw it happen so they did nothing. The buses are also overwhelmed so my kids bus has to make 2 separate rounds of picking them up at the school and coming back for round two. My child and the other kids also have to stand outside, in direct sunlight from time school lets out at till about 4:15 give or take while waiting for the bus to come back. They don’t have them wait inside or in shade. One child actually pooped themselves the other day because he couldn’t go to the restroom while they were waiting. On a more “personal opinion” I also feel that the school doesn’t provide nutritional breakfast items. There have been many times that they serve leftover pizza for breakfast and other items that are questionable. Meals are free so I don’t complain but I do know that it teaches the kids very unhealthy traits for later. This school also does A-LOT of activities that you have to pay for your child to participate or be included. There have been many times my child has not been able to feel included because of this.Parent Review11mo ago22 Reviews - Check out schools near 59 Barkley Ln.

"I have lived in Flagler Co since 2006 and will never leave this area other than the soon approaching over population of the area without respect to the stunning environmental land now being abused by land developers and county agreements and future projections not yet funded or plans for the enormous influx of residential development and construction of new infrastructure, transportation and schools with protection as much as possible! AND what about SENIOR housing opportunities? Advertised but not available or or in excess of demand by thousands of affordability standards 😕"

"The neighborhood is a quite community. There are many events but they are not well attended. Palm Coast is between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. I feel most people who live in Palm Coast want to keep the town low key and residential not touristy."

"I recently move here from St Augustine. I love the fact that it is a community with a lot of retirees but at the same time there's a thriving economy because of all the services offered to this people. There's a lot of younger people moving in with and without kids looking for job opportunities. Great place to raise kids. The beach is only minutes away at all times. "
