"The Key peninsula has a very small town feel, local beaches, mountain view's and forest it's a wonderful tucked away gem! Lots of local events, the kp farm tour is my personal favorite, lots of farm life out here so it's not odd to see a roaming pig or peacock every now and then haha! "
    • Rose

"I have found the racial climate to be favorable as a person of color, I don't have small children though, it may not be the same for the children."

"I've lived on this island for 23 years and would like to live there again or just be a weekender. What makes this place so unique is the privacy, only membersand their guests can come to the island on a ferry boat. You also have your own boat docks and can enjoy fishing, sailing and beach walks with clam digging and plenty of wildlife. The tame deer eat out of your hands and you know your neighbors by first name.My poem says it all:I love a little island with quiet tree-grown streets. The kind and simple friendliness From those we chance to meet. I love the houses of our small island, So neatly groomed and bright. Where flowers bloom upon the sill And windows glow at night. I love the companionship of folk On these little grounds. The kindly smiles and "How-de-dos" Of friends on daily rounds. I love a little island in the sound, Where folks have time for friends. Where wells of kindeness quench the heart And friendship never ends."
