Rated worst school in the district and for a reason. First it’s the fact that there’s little to no actual discipline structure, (at least for 1st grade) it’s starts over every month and the real gradual increase in “punishment” has zero effect on most kids, some kids need immediate intervention with actual consequences not just “loss of privilege” for 5 write up in a row, it becomes pointless. Secondly it’s the Denial of or just complete lack of resources for kids with sever adhd or audhd, basically being told that unless the child is extremely violent or handicapped that there is little to no resources to help, pushing all blame and responsibility on parents when they have control over the child for 8-9 hours a day. And the communication from staff is beyond horrid, goes for principals, counselor and teachers. For over a month straight we tried calling, emailing, messing on classroom app nearly DAILY to get in a meeting with principal and counselor to discuss possible ideas, solutions or suggestions for behavior management and trying to figure out what exactly is going on during school hours and have only been able to talk to someone maybe 2 or 3 times and still no physical meeting, how are you supposed to fix anything when we’re being told nothing and with no suggestions..just overall horrific management.
