I’m the grandmother of twin kindergarteners. I was concerned that my grandson would have some difficulty because he just had no real desire to “learn“ or even play anything that he realized was learning. He hated coloring too. I’ve tried everything to help him be prepared with little success, except reading to them; he loves that. He thought his twin sister was great at everything about learning so he wanted his very own niche. My prayers have been answered though because he has an Amazing Teacher! She gets him! She see his brilliance is in conversation and comprehension and speaks encouragement into him. The very 1st week I could tell that she was already making great progress in making him want to learn. I'm So Very Thankful for this precious teacher! In my opinion there are no bad students just bad teachers. That certainly does not apply to this amazing teacher. Thank you Mrs. Kivet! Thank you A.T. Allen Elementary!

"Small town, good place for kids. Not a lot to do in town, though. The library does have some events/programs for children. Active sports teams for kids like soccer and basketball. "

"Mt Pleasant is a quaint little suburb of Concord and Charlotte NC. Old timey way of life, and close enough to major shopping and the nightlife action if you desire. The schools are terrific, k-12. People are super friendly. One of the few places you can still leave your doors unlocked and don't have to worry about it. Good clean living "

"I was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant. I currently live here with my wife and children. It's a place you can walk down Main street and talk to residents and also allow kids freedom to play in neighborhoods without a lot of concern for their safety. Great town!"
