6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy family and I have had nothing but great experiences with teachers and staff at this school. We have met some teachers whom we felt loved our children as much as we do, and we have also had some teachers whom we felt no connection with. The school also provides a lot of opportunities in which parents can get involved. I do wish there was more diversity and inclusion at this school. As far as negative things about this school I will say there are somethings worth mentioning. First, in the past 3-4 years other parents and I noticed that many students were being placed in the same classrooms over and over again which has created the "It" crowd. Then, it was noticed that the same students were repeatedly pictured on the school's PTO Facebook. In fact, in last year's yearbook these same students and same teacher took over nearly the entire spread of third grade. Clearly, there were other third grade classes in the school, why they were not featured as much is unknown. It's understandable that there are parents who sign the photo media release to not have their children's photo used, highly respect that. While I have the upmost respect for the PTO Board Members and all that they do for the school and teachers, it seems that they have special privileges to gloat their children on yearbooks and the school's PTO Facebook. Whether they know and do not care or perhaps are unaware, this has been creating the "It" crowd for quite some time. I do believe that some have been aware of this, but for one reason or another have not spoken up about it. In today's age there should be more inclusion in schools and not a popularity contest based on social status, materialistic items, and whether or not your mother or father is on the school's PTO Board. Each and every student at this school as well as the teachers should be celebrated and seen (unless the media consent is signed) just as much as the PTO Board Members children. We need more kindness in this world and not another group of mean girls and mean boys club. Children these days deal with those issues a lot in middle and high school, let's not start it in elementary school.Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Powell High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the absolute worst school I’ve encountered, and this isn’t my first go-around as I also have a 26-year-old son. My son is on an IEP, which the school failed to follow and even admitted they did not have the resources to support. In my opinion, two of the 6th grade teachers disregarded his rights under the Disabilities Act and showed they have no business working with children with autism—or children at all, for that matter.Parent Review9mo ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 582 E Emory Rd.

"Houses are older, but very well maintained houses and yards. Good size lots. Great mix of ages and other demographics live here. Neighbors out at night in the yards and waving. Reminds me of home long time ago. "

"I grew up in this neighborhood. Wish very much to move back. But at 64 yrs of age, not gonna happen. But, the lucky person to obtain this home will be very satisfied. Great neighborhood, great schools and very nice home. Wish you luck on your journey. Rambling Acres is a great place to live. And I'm sure the Landlord will be the same, Great"

"Sequoyah Hills is a fantastic neighborhood that dates from the 1930s. It was designed in a very forward-thinking way that makes living there possible for many demographics. On the other hand, a lot of tear-downs are happening, with normal houses being replaced by mansions. "

"My neighborhood is more like a family of community. Everybody works as one if one doesn’t have it. The other may have it. We just try to uplift each other to the best of our abilities because we believe that everybody deserves a second chance at life."

"If you’re a woman walking your dog/dogs alone no matter what time of day please be aware of surroundings. I was followed to my home by a man & he had to have ran because once I noticed him keeping pace behind me I started running. He actually knew where I lived already & beat me there because he was in my back yard area when I walked through the door and went to the back to lock it. Other than that sidewalks are good for the doggies. Too much fast moving traffic as well on the roads in residential areas. "
