4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAm a 7th grader as of now, there are fights almost everyday and not only that but so called "gangsters" have gangs inside the school which is crazy to me. No one treats you with respect other than the teachers and racial slurs are thrown around constantly, in class and on the quad. Kids who don't fit in are picked on and bullied, I have seen them get pushed into a locker, tripped and verbally harrased, do your kids a favor and don't send them here.Student Review1y ago22 Reviews - Ernesto Galarza Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has consistently shown a disregard for racism. When events have occurred having to do with racially targeted bullying against the black students that attend this school. The principal Angela Guzman has simply shoved it under the rug, instead of creating an action plan on how to actually fix the problem. It has been simply ignored. Even though the parents of the targeted students have come into the school and talked with the school officials, everything has remained unchanged. The fact that this school can sit back and watch these students being bullied and don’t do anything about it is disgraceful and disgusting. This principle advocates for de-escalation and silencing of these problems then actually proposing a solution and education on how to prevent these occurrences in the future. This school does not advocate for equality, kindness and fairness. Do not send your kids here.Other Review4y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near 579 E Alma Ave.

"There's a park near the entrance to the neighborhood, there are children's playgrounds, basketball court, and bbq pits & tables. There have been numerous small parties and some sports on the field. Many times, we have gathered on certain holidays to watch fireworks, enjoy a bonfire, pass by with walking cute & exotic dogs, and sometimes participate with HOA in Open House availabilities."

"Tons of unhoused encampments. Sometimes they take dogs. Dogs go missing here all the time. Nextdoor is helpful to posting lost & found."

"Too much construction (extended). I. The direct flight path of the airport, and right next to the railroad tracks. You get used to it, and the homes are new and over 2k sq ft. Just depends if you can live life in paradise in the hood. "

"Homeless encampments under overpasses and around property boundaries is a common issue. Wild animals (skunks, possoms, coyotes) come out at night. Be sure to bring your pets in at night if you love them."
