Description

Finally Showing this week/ March 13th, weather and power permitting :)

Enjoy sipping your morning coffee while watching the sunrise over Monterey Bay. Sunny, charming 1920's stucco craftsman bungalow on quiet street above Cannery Row in New Monterey near DLI available for long term lease. Renovated with hard wood floors throughout, updated bathrooms and kitchen. Updated heat, plumbing and electrical, and several new windows and window coverings. Original plaster walls, crystal doorknobs, white craftsman woodwork, trim, shiplap or bead board in almost every room. Several of the updated lighting/LED fixtures are historical replications. Low water use home with certified low water use fixtures.

Front of home has 2 seating areas in living room with gas fireplace and peek views of the bay. There is a formal dining room and serene master bedroom with 3 closets. The master bath features the original cast iron tub with shower, retro blue tile, and large white shaker vanity with mirror cabinet. The renovated kitchen has Energy star rated stainless appliances, shaker cabinets, gas range, french door refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher and garbage disposal, and walnut counter tops. There is a separate pantry area with more counter space. The new guest bathroom, 2 guest bedrooms, glorious sun room/family room and laundry area and storage are in the back half of the house.

The floor plan is perfect for work at home or roommates, as the back two bedrooms/guest bath and sunroom are separate from the master bedroom and living room areas.

The lower part of the home has a private 1 bedroom apt (separate entrance) that is currently rented to a quiet professional. There are no shared spaces.

Low water use plants and nice private sunny patio/barbeque area in back of house. Several parks nearby and walking distance to DLI, not far from NPS and MIIS. Close to grocery stores (Trader Joes, Safeway), beaches, bike path, cannery row, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove and Carmel.

Parking is on the street, usually available in front of the house. There is a shared driveway but we do not park in that area.

Tenant responsible for utilities and basic yard maintenance. No smoking of any kind and no pets, due to allergies. Good references and good credit, 1 year lease. Deposit requirements are security deposit of 3495 and last months rent of 3495.

Home is unfurnished, except a new queen bed and bookcase in one of the guest bedrooms. There's a possibility of borrowing the dining table with some chairs and rugs and some other small accent tables if needed.

What we love about this home? The sunny weather in New Monterey warms the home naturally almost every day, the filtered views of the ocean and bay, the fresh bay breezes, the neighborhood and the coziness and charming details of the house.

Please call with questions and to make an appointment to view. Thank you for your interest.
