My kids all went to elida. The high school was probably the better one out of the 3. They do no care about bullying. There is no support for the kid being bullied other than "go see a counselor " nothing ever happens to the bullies. Kids with special educations a by far at the bottom of the list, the cheerleaders and football players are the only ones that get help or celebrated. Most of the teachers are great. Others are a nightmare. My kids hated the school lunches and would come home and tell me the nastiest stories about their school lunches and what they found in their food. Growing up around here, but going to a different high school than elida you always hear the "bad stories" and how terrible Elida was. I never thought it was true... until my kids had to go there because we lived in district. There's like almost zero communication with elida and parents. So much stuff happens that my kids come home and tell me (such as my kid being pulled into the principal office to be searched bc they thought he was selling vapes... found out he doesn't. My kids doesn't even smoke. I never received a phone call. Email. Nothing telling me that they patted my kids down then searched his locker bookbag and car. Summed up... don't send your kids to elida! You WILL regret it.

I have 2 sons that attend and they absolutely love being Bulldogs. The teachers are firm but fair and take care of my children’s needs well. I’d recommend this school to anyone.

This experience, for the past 2 years, was horrific. The experience at this middle school just made us wish for high school. I know that this school has great teachers, unfortunately, my child was only able to encounter 2- one last year and one this year. Perception is everything. So I can only say, after your first encounter with the counselor or principal (not assistant) go with your gut. There seems to be a lack of compassion and empathy. Save all of your emails- the emails will just reinforce the dismissive attitudes of leadership and staff.
