5 stats all the way, we could not be happier to have our kids go to MES. It’s a small community where everyone is looking out for and helping kids. The teachers are exceptional and we are having the best experience. We moved from a big city with one of the top 5 school districts in the country and my kids prefer school here!!!!

"great small town but be prepared to drive a ways for Walmart, target or a mall. You can see stars at night, great schools ,safe streets and friendly neighbors."

"Staying at a small hotel in town after visiting Yosemite. Feels like like a simple 1 street town and is relatively welcoming. Would visit here again. Definitely pay a visit to the restaurant “1850” Awesome burgers and nice staff. "

"We have a small town community that has great events but our homes are situated far apart from each other with large land acreage. The downtown has historical building from gold rush period with Victorian beauties alongside the old red brick. The businesses are local and small with tourism in the summer."

"Small town charm but safe and homey. Area is free of gangs, murders, and home invasions. They even have a horse-drawn wagon giving rides in town. "

"Such beauty and tranquility here, that you'll never want to leave home. During the day, you hear birds. At night you hear crickets and the occasional coyote. You never hear traffic! Hike in Yosemite during the day. Visit local artist studios. Walk the quaint downtown and eat at several wonderful restaurants. Enjoy several yoga studios and/or two gyms. Lots more too! "

"Peaceful, private road so there's no traffic, people are friendly and keep up their land and homes -- beautiful area. Only 10 minutes to town, 30 minutes to Merced and to Oakhurst. I would definitely recommend this as an ideal place to live."
