As a former student of this high school, I have to say that this school could not have been a more worse experience. I attended this school for 2 and 1/2 years. This was my first high school and probably my last public high school due to my understanding of how public schools today run. The school is not the place that you should take your child to. I was really involved with a lot of the activities that they provided. I did soccer, band, HOSA, TAFE, CNA, and many other extra curriculars. It was really fun my first year but I realized that it was impacting my health negatively. Instead of getting more out of my education and involvement, I got less out of it. The kids there are really toxic. Not enough room to walk around during passing periods. There are way too many fights in that school. Too much drama that will impact your child negatively. Too many threats. Most kids do drugs such as vaping, smoking, and a lot of mental issues. Don't let your child come here unless you do mind them getting surrounded with these activities.Even on top of that, the environment of the school is awful. Most bathrooms are not functional and not enough staff to monitor these areas. The auditorium still smells horrible even after a year that cricket season ended. A lot of graffiti in the bathrooms as well. It is a really small school. The halls are way too crowded when everyone is getting to their classes. I often am either standing in hall because there are way too many students in this school. I really recommend that they either expand the school or make another high school in the area.So if you want to have your child come to this school, just know that it is chaotic. The staff to student ratio is just not nearly enough and the parents involvement is too low. Many things that happen are not mentioned to the public and it overall will be a bad experience.

I would totally rate my experience at S.C.Lee 10 out of 10!! Students, including myself, learn great lessons and learn about yourself. Nice students you can met and great teachers that is willing to help you succeed!! I am learning many new things in S.C.Lee. I hope to see you there!-7th grader 2019

I would not recommend Housecreek Elementary based on my experience as a parent.My child had one excellent first-grade teacher here, certified, passionate, and truly invested in teaching. Unfortunately, after that year, our experience declined significantly. The quality of education has been inconsistent and, in many cases, lacking. Parents should be prepared to teach their children approximately 90 percent of the material at home, because unless your child is fortunate enough to be assigned a teacher who is properly trained and effective in the classroom, they will not receive the level of instruction they need.Even more concerning is that my child has been repeatedly targeted since second grade. In one incident, a teacher admitted in writing that although she did not witness my child do anything, she assumed he was responsible simply because she saw him walking by and he did not respond when questioned. Despite bringing this to the assistant principal’s attention, the only outcome was an apology, no corrective action, no accountability, just an apology from the teacher admitting she was wrong and the principal stating that the situation should not have been handled that way.At this point, I also began to question whether skin color may have been a factor in how certain situations involving my child were handled. This concern is not raised lightly. I have received multiple apologies from both teachers and the assistant principal regarding the handling of incidents involving my child , so many that I felt it necessary to begin documenting them. Enough is enough.Additionally, class sizes are far too large for one teacher, making it nearly impossible to adequately supervise students or provide meaningful instruction. This environment allows assumptions to be made instead of facts being verified, which is unacceptable.Because of the lack of educational quality, repeated mishandling of situations, and inadequate administrative response, we are relocating. Something has clearly changed at this school, and not for the better.My advice to parents is to research and verify the credentials of your child’s assigned teacher. It truly matters and can make or break your child’s educational experience.
