7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is terrible. It's like they are unaware of family dynamics. Why do they have random late start days? They says it's to get work done before school but it seems there are no cars in the parking lot when I get there because I forgot again. Stop changing the schedule to the inconvenience parents so the teachers have a better life. They didn't accidentally become teachers. They chose that and should work every morning and later if they must because they get summers off. I really don't believe the staff and faculty live in reality. Do they seriously think there is a full time parent at home on call? In most families, both parents work. We can not monitor kids while they do E-learning. That's why we send them to school. If you're sending kids to this school you should probably be aware of the people as well. They are not trying to raise good humans, they are trying to raise kids to be better than your kids, and it shows. At first I thought it was just my wife not getting a long with people, but I will admit she was right. These parents are awful.Parent Review10mo ago5 Reviews - Carmel High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy school experience as a parent had a less-than-auspicious start. If the school employs a teacher who yells and makes kids cry in class. It's a problem, especially with the presence of a male teacher who has a history of yelling at students without consequence. Using this tactic in the classroom is not ideal. If a teacher can't maintain control and resorts to yelling, they should think about finding a new profession. And the principle should not remain complacent. Terminate the teacher's employment.Parent Review2y ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near 567D E Hunters Dr.

"Best school system in the state and extremely safe area also lots of areas around town and in the community built in for kids to play and be involved just as involved as the adults. It is a very family forward community. "

"Everyone seems to have a dog and walk them often! We’re only allowed 2 dogs in my condo but people who own their own homes often have three and have fenced in yards for dogs to play in. We also have a dog park in Carmel."

"Carmel is definitely the best city I’ve ever lived in! It has the most amazing school system and I’ve literally experienced zero crime since being here. I can let my girls walk on the Monon trail throughout Carmel and not worry about them and my eight-year-old can ride her bike up and down our street with no fear of anything happening to her! I would never ever leave Carmel! And neighbors are the best definitely look out for one another! "

"Extremely safe and feel at ease letting my 8yr old play outside ! Never ever had any issues what so ever w crime. Super close to any and everything u could possibly need as far as shopping etc.. the schools are best in the state and teachers are amazing, also right on the monon trail almost anywhere in Carmel u live is a few min walk to the trail which is also very safe ! Our neighborhood has block parties and holiday parties ! Would highly recommend anyone to move here. Only negative is that it’s of course quite costly to live here but I guess if u couldn’t afford it u wouldn’t be here looking into moving here!! "

"Great parks and libraries, the best public schools in the Midwest, and very safe community. I would have no issues letting my kids play outside late or biking far distances as this is a very family focused community. Farmers market on weekends. And lots of amazing restaurants and wineries. Also great holiday events and festivals such as forth of July celebrations and annual street art festivals with vendors. "

"I moved from Los Angeles; so what they call traffic here is cute! It is a lot of side streets. The main problem is that Hoosiers love to run red lights because of no traffic cameras, it’s annoying. "

"The traffic is horrible and construction is nonstop. Indy has 1 million people but one beltway around the city that is full of potholes, debris on shoulders, and roadway too small to handle growth and commute from Carmel and Fishers into Indy."

There are many organized community events planned throughout the year from the year-round Carmel Farmer’s Market, activities in the Carmel Arts and Design district, the holiday Christkindlmarket and winter ice skating at Center Green, there is always something to do."
