6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDeerfield Park has excellent teachers and the new principal is striving to bring unity and energy within the walls. The behavior issues are definitely an issue! We need care-givers that stand behind us. These children MUST read daily if literacy is to improve. Instead, they must watch over younger siblings and stay awake late and are constantly exposed to cursing, disrespect of authority, unwholesome TV and movies, and violence. We routinely have only 1-2 parents show up for PTO meetings or SAC (Student Advisory Counsel). Where are you, parents? Community? We can improve with: families backing the adults, stress the importance of "character," parental participation, volunteers, lots of mentors, and local businesses donating computers. These children can't compete in a global world without global skills. This school has some great families, great programs, and teachers that work until evening! Students should be reading great books and discussing the day at a family dinner table (studies prove it works!). The whole family needs to place a high value on education.Teacher Review12y ago8 Reviews - Deerfield Beach Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst school ever Dr Fulton needs to give up that job and give it to someone who will really take control of the school and take care of the kids safety and well being. Principal is aware drugs are being purchased and sold on deer field beach middle school and they have not done anything to fix this issue. We have 12 year olds getting high in school and principals are not doing enough to make that school safe they are more to encourage it and say “it’s popular in younger kids” disappointed and disgustedParent Review1mo ago14 Reviews - Deerfield Beach High School

"There are none for my neighborhood and not many for the city as a whole. There are a few city events at the beach, but that's it."

"I see people walking dogs often, but the people themselves are not always friendly. A lot of people are not good at picking up their pets' waste. "

"It’s important for parents to know the pool rules in most areas, especially what time their kids should turn off their sound systems and quit the yelling. No kids should be partying in pool areas after certain time at night. "

"It’s quiet and less than ten minutes drive to the beach… it has every store you can imagine just in a close drive time. Currently it’s getting very expensive and people that are retired unfortunately will need to move and of course the Rich will take over and the working class will have to move to the middle of nowhere. "

"Overall Deerfield Beach is a place full of positive energy and people are happy to be here. In my opinion, this area is a hidden gem of a beach town that isn’t too big and isn’t too small. If I did have children, I would love to raise them in an area like this. The weather is perfect almost all year long, and during the hurricane season at least we get plenty of notice to get out of harm’s way, and people come together and help their neighbors regardless of their differences. Unfortunately nowadays that is hard to find in some parts of the United States as of late, so by all means, if you’re looking for a place that is close to it all, has great parks, beaches, restaurants, bars, shopping, great schools, public transportation, friendly people and safe clean streets, come to Deerfield Beach but don’t tell too many people unless they would be great neighbors too!!
