CMHS is a wonderful school with hard-working educators. They have Dual enrollment courses, AP Classes, a great sports team, including e-sports, and math team. People complain of fights, and this school has decrease in fights over the past 15 years. Over the past few years, they have brought in metal detectors along with a Strong focus on Security, where they collaborate with local law enforcement. We have a Superintendent who has brought a focus on collaboration within the community, and she has worked with her team to bring our buildings into the 21st Century with Smart lines in every classroom, Smart STEM Labs in our elementary schools. We are currently building new turf baseball and football fields. I am a long-standing Crete Resident. I have been around for more than 30 years. I choose to live here because I love my community.

At this school there is foul language used everyday. The lunches are not healthy. There is a fight between students almost every week. The students talk back to the teachers. Don't go to this school unless you think your child is brave enough to to go here.

My child has also attended this school from K-2nd and have experienced the same thing as other parents, a strong bias toward black children (especially boys). Your child could score high on all test and read and complete math at several levels higher then most of the class and they will still make up reasons to give your child a 2, on a 4 point scale (with 1 being above average) instead of the 1 that's deserved. The teachers are allowed to give a child any number they feel, without providing any scoring proff as to why. Bottom line, many of the white teachers refuse to acknowledge the above adverage academic accomplishments of a black child. No matter how well they do, there just average at Monee Elementary, unless you're white. The grading should be on a scoring system, NOT ON A 1,2,3,4 SCALE THAT'S SUBJECTIVE AND CAN'T BE substantiated.
