We love this school it is a great system that they have set up. Over all our child is now excited by learning and going to school. Where as our son was struggling in other systems he is now thriving and has been recognized as top student in class on several occasions.

We had a parent teacher conference the first week of school for our child being disruptive in class. We talked to doctors about hyper activity. Child was put on Ritalin. Several weeks later we get an email that child is still being problematic. This continues the entire year month after month with bad reviews from teacher. We have been home schooling for over a year and i would say that my wife is better at dealing with problems that children have than all of the teachers and officials at this school. Our child still isnt the most patient when learning but he can read, write, and do math now all because of my wife. This school didnt have enough time to fix anything in a class room even though they have better teacher to student ratios than other schools.

I have been an educator in the district for over 10 years and I am a proud advocate for the public schools of MSD. My daughter has thrived at the Smith Fine Arts Academy, specifically. She gets a rigorous education that is balanced with opportunities to explore her interests in the arts. A+

MHS offers an abundance of academic and trade skill programs. The course catalog is huge! In my experience, the students who enjoy their high school are the ones who pick their classes and get involved in an extracurricular activity. With so many options available to students there are multiple paths for success. This school offers students all of the athletic and club activities. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the school has a welcoming environment. The music program with the band is amazing! After looking over the great schools metrics it seems the school is being unfairly ranked low. True, there is not a lot of racial diversity but this is characteristic of living in a smaller rural community. The more important fact is this school is safe! Lots of farm kids, town kids, and country kids. Yet, there’s no safety ranking on great schools. As a parent and member of the community this is my top concern when looking at the schools my kids will attend.

JRW is a great middle school with a lot of academic options for students. There are a lot of athletic programs and other clubs for students to get involved. The staff is fabulous! Very friendly and they seem to curate a great learning environment for the students. My kid brings home amazing projects and I can tell from looking at their coursework that the staff puts a lot of thought and attention into creating these lessons. Most importantly the school is safe!
