9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is great and has the best leaders running this building. Sure it has its set of problems but that is everywhere. The people here care about kids and try their hardest everyday. The only thing that could make Heritage better would be more support staff but that’s really a funding issue.Other Review9mo ago8 Reviews - Harvest Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, Harvest is an amazing elementary school, especially for kids with disabilities. Lots of specials, low teacher to student ratios, a very kind and caring principal, lots of extra curricular activities thru the district. Test scores are some of the highest in Michigan placing it at the top 10%.The IEP process is smooth and thorough- one in which therapists and teachers actually want to meet children’s needs (unlike AAPS). Their philosophy is to provide special ed services in full and early on, so kids won’t need as much extra support in later grades. Harvest packs more therapists, paras, and interventionists in a single school than other districts have in a whole district!!! And surprisingly, most if not all teachers seem well versed in autism, sensory processing disorders, mobility and fine motor challenges, etc.The building is showing its age but it’s still great. Special ed rooms are huge and well equipped, not closet sized like in most schools. Library is eye popping- modern and filled with every genre that any child would ever love to read! Gym is a but noisy but not terrible. Food is good and healthy but cafeteria can get crowded, as the kitchen setup is inefficient and so is their lunch process. Playground is large but equipment is old and lacking. Accessibility is mostly good, with zero-step entries and a commercial elevator. The teachers are great and it shows how much they care. They check up with parents often at the beginning of the year, but as the year progresses, communication decreases especially in older grades. But, they do keep up with great newsletters or blogs. The staff are so extremely helpful!PTA is kind of clickey. You have to be part of the wealthy, mostly white, mostly University of Michigan employees to get connected or taken into account as a parent. Likewise, rich white kids can be kind of mean - which is not a problem with the school but simply a reality of the district population and of the university-elite Ann Arbor culture. Having said that, teachers and staff take bullying seriously and know how to deal with it effectively.Overall I recommend this school. And regardless of the scores on GreatSchools or reviews on Maps, I do think they are educating ALL children well, regardless of ethnicity, disability, skin color, or financial means. And for students with special needs, this school (and the Saline Area Schools district as a whole) is truly a hidden gem and exemplary school to all of Michigan.Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - Saline Middle School

Support teachers are very good and attentive, class sizes are average. Safety is always a concern and it shows. Highly recommend this school.Parent Review1y ago4 Reviews - Saline High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePLEASE READ im a freshman here and i have ADHD. the acomatations here are a bit better than at the middle school but i still feel nervous asking for them. i have some good teachers and some that are not so good, for example, my acting teacher will talk for about 30 minutes of each class and keeps repeating the same thing over and over, we also have some students in that class with disabilaties one student is in a motorized wheelchair, my teacher had us do may activities that the wheelchair student was unable to do for example, we had to do an activity when you had to either sit, stand or lay down. obvosly the wheelchair student could not do any of that but she still had to go up to the front of the class (with a group) and preform. she is thankfuly not in the class anymore. there are many supportive teachers here and if your student has ADHD, ADD, or anything like that i recommend putting them in an accademic support class which is a class where you can do your classwork or homework with help from a teacher. this is the class i am wrighting this in. lastly we are almost half way through the year and almost done with the first trimester, and we have done TWO fire drils but NONE of the other ones. but overall this is a very nice school and i am so greatful for all the activities SHS has to offer and how safe it is.thank you for reading this, i hope this will help you.Freshman class of 2027Student Review2y ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near 5571 E Spaniel Dr.

"Nice country walks. But road traffic can be moderate but they drive fast. Some don’t pick up dog water and that is a problem even though out in the country."

"Too much salt on the sidewalks that burns the paws. Owner pick up after their pets. Dogs need to be leashed at all times and can’t be let to run in the park."

"I have very easy access to public transportation. I can ride my bicycle anywhere, and safely for the most part. I don’t drive to work so I can’t speak to the traffic, but from what I can tell, there is quite a morning rush into downtown. I love living in Ann Arbor. The current road closures for the purpose of allowing business to overflow outside their walls for the safety of those who wish to be consumers- I think is wonderful example of people coming together to work around hardship. "I live in this neighborhood for a year in a half, pretty standard relax environment if your looking for a more involve community this isn’t it but it’s also not a college town area. More so a upper level students area or maybe couples moving in together start out. Only thing I would change is cost not much here for the amount they charge."

"High taxes for little return. Crowded schools. Roads in need of repair. Claimed to be the most educated city in someone's book, if you are so smart, then fix these issues instead of tearing up and then paving a dedicated bike lane on a road with nothing wrong with it."
