The house, lovely built in 1940, is a 2100 sq ft, 2 story colonial brick house with 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a 2 car detached garage, located in Old Newark. Many original details were preserved during our full renovation, including built-in cabinetry and hardwood flooring throughout. These details are complimented with complete renovations of the kitchen and bathrooms. The first floor hosts a spacious living room with wall to wall built-in cabinetry and access to the covered side porch. The modern kitchen boasts gray cabinets with quartz countertops, subway tile backsplash, and all stainless steel appliances. One of the 5 bedrooms is on the first floor and is currently used as an office, with a built-in bookcase that wraps around the windows and access to the back porch. The dining room, also with built-in cabinetry, is next to a breakfast nook and a half bath. The upstairs has a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet, 3 other bedrooms, another full bathroom, and a linen closet. The attic is walk-up with a cedar closet for storage and a brand new central heating & AC unit we only use for the AC. The basement has a boiler that feeds the 19 radiators we use for heat, an electric water heater, and the washer and dryer. The roof was just redone last year and has SolarCity solar panels on it. The entire landscape was also professionally designed and redone, including native plants throughout and a rain garden. Brick was repointed in house and garage and new storm windows were installed. Easy walking distance to Main St, the University of Delaware, and the Newark Amtrak/Septa train station.
