I enjoy a lot of teachers at this school but there are almost an equal number of teachers that should have picked a different career. The principals I feel like genuinely try to keep parents in the loop so that’s good. That being said this is not a school that has field trips or engaging afterschool things like carnivals/fairs etc. You get 5 years of the same field trip to walk around bluff city or go see a play. This school has zero funding and it shows. Classrooms are barren and gray because teachers won’t spend their own money. The school needs MAJOR updates. I really wish they operated like Avoca. The car rider lines are horrendous and should be changed. Bluff city police department doesn’t help either thy stand there or sit in their cars on their phones.

Sullivan East High School is a great school!

this school is absolutely garbage and horrible. the students here are violent, pushing, shoving, hitting others they dont even talk to for “fun”. in my class, there is a special kid who is always being picked on and bullied by people making chewing noises (which he hates) and my teacher just laughed. that kind of behavior is absolutely disgusting and the bullying here makes everyone miserable and hurt. the teachers here are awful, they dont provide proper education and care and they are equally as brutal as the students. yet no one is doing anything about it and its getting very serious and horrible, it made me emotionally exhausted and scarred. do better.
