Opal Myrick Elementary has been an outstanding school for three of my children who currently attend this school. Not only are Opal Myrick Staff well educated and extremely able when it comes to working with youngsters but the staff at this school bring an element which is essential to the little ones in this community in the form of love. Having children who have struggled at times with reading and math, our family has been so fortunate to have patient, understanding, creative teachers who have patiently helped them through some of those very real struggles. The staff at Opal are more of an extension of our family understanding that it really is a collaborative experience between the families and teachers to educate our children. We are grateful to the teachers who show up everyday to work with the little ones in this fantasic community!

My son has severe depresion and adhd. All of the teachers including the principle and the secretary are very helpful. They all want to see my child and all the others succeed. They put all there effort into helping the students with watever they need. I am a very invoved parent. I can email, text or call any teacher any time of day or night and get very quick responses to my questions. This school with small classes and welcoming atmosphere has been great for my son. We moveed here from ct and the students accepted my son right away. He started sophmore year. So it was scary for him. But everyone was so warm and kind to him and to me. I was very suprised by this small public school. They have really a great comunity here.
