This school is my favorite school i was a North star graduate class of 2007 and now both of my children feel the same way I do they went to one other school and had a horrible time with bullies and that was at somerset county's somerset school district don't recommend that school at all but North star is one of the best schools in somerset County area and my kids love this school they would cry until I told them they were going back to North star school district this year

I struggle with this review being a parent of two elementary students on different ends of the spectrum. My oldest child exceeds the scholastics in the attended grade with peers of the same age. This child is haulted due to sloppy handwriting and socializing with the appropriate age group. There is no gifted program. This makes for a very bored, non-challanged student. My younger child struggles with the basics in class. Excessive home work merely adds to the issues. I feel a tutor or one on one teaching may help. None in which the school agrees to do. My feelings of this school are simply put... In a poor community and district it seems you get what is paid for. Facility that is mediocre at best. For middle of the road students, this works fine. Add a learning issue or challenge and you have issues. Try addressing these issues and you have additional issues for your children. I'm at a loss of where to go next. This is all very unfortunate.
