I was a part of the class of 2015 and I have to say, it was a terrible four years at this school. Every single day was stressful and reprieves from a constant and ultimately unchallenging workload were few and far in-between. My main grievances with the school are as follows:- The classes are not tough, in fact even the AP classes were easy and tedious, but the workload is extremely high. I spent an entire day on a single project for one class on multiple occasions.- Kids who know 100% of the material can fail a class and kids who know 0% of the material can pass. - Following in line with the above, homework is daily for most classes and always graded.- Teachers LOVE putting kids in embarrassing situations under the guise of 'ice breakers' and 'getting-to-know-you' activities.- Teachers will grade on arbitrary projects/activities that aren't even related to the subject. A good example of this would be the infamous senior English project, in which students must create a video with music and talk over it explaining something they believe in. Those projects are not graded based on anything learned in the class, and from what I remember the following categories for grading were: * Pictures/slides used in the video * If there was music in the video * If there was a credit slide * If your voice was able to be heard clearly * The actual content itself (only thing relating to the class)This was a final project worth 20% of your actual grade and maybe 15% of the grading was based on actual class material.- My senior English class teacher threatened to fail me (and thus hold me back from graduating as it is a required class to pass) if I had another LEGAL, medical absence.
