"There are many families in the neighborhood. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. Love living here for over 50 years. I grew up here, moved away for the military, and moved back. Wouldn’t call anywhere else home. Great South Butler School District, close to Butler, close to Saxonburg and Freeport. "
  • Art
"Easy commute to Cranberry and getting easier as roads are improved. Traffic is light and roads are maintained. Delays likely during school year on 228 unless you time it right "
  • Christie W.
"Access to public transportation, within 10 minutes of local walmart supercenter, some area are much nicer than others for maintenance and friendliness. "
  • Tinarivera0718

  • Sarah O.
"ive lived in thid neighborhood and it is filled with drugs and crime and over priced loud and rude "
  • Taisetsu N.
"45min drive to Pittsburgh no jobs available in the butler area that are steady full time positions. "
  • Kyle_somerville777
"It’s terrible. No sidewalks are uncracked or even in town. Nasty neighbors and junkies dealing drugs at all hours of the night "
  • Jordan
"I go north for my commute so it’s always a leisurely drive. Rarely any ever serious traffic. The most traffic is near the 422 and New Castle Road intersection. "
  • Ceagal62
"There’s privacy, great schools close to 422. It’s really a great place to live. We would live at our home forever in ct. it’s a great place"
  • Ruth R.
"I've lived there for more than 20 years and it's definitely a high crime area things have definitely changed here in Butler County it's not the same anymore a lot of people that are here that aren't from here and that makes it hard to live here"
  • Nicolle H.
"I live downtown and it is terrible. Drug paraphernalia on the streets, our car gets break in attempts. "
  • Bog224
"Drugs are a major problem in Butler as a whole. This area is unfortunately becoming more dangerous as previous home owners are replaced by tenants of landlords who don’t live in the area. I regret my decision to buy a house here, and am looking to move."
  • Chris Chute
"I was born in California and due to the military I've lived in many states. I'd have to say that I've NEVER seen a town where so many are needlessly on SSI and other government assistance..And I'm talking about the young people! The drug use, crime, and cases of overdoses' is EXTREMELY HIGH! All the stores are closing. It's a terrible shame."
  • Dm4172
"Roads are flat and traffic is light so dog walking is safe! People are friendly and not afraid to say hi."
  • Jamie L.
"Great neighborhood to live in. Very quiet streets. The neighbors have become my village and are happy to do so."
  • Kim H.
"We have a halloween parade with prizes and games. And we have a community day at the park in the summer with chinese auctions, vendors and free food."
  • Kristy
"Highfield is a nice and quiet neighborhood. Everyone is so friendly and they know to drive slow while children are playing. I would recommend to anyone "
  • Thassler1214
"great friendly neighborhood with many neighbors whom have lived here over 50 years. Children of all ages. Close to school with basketball hoops, swings, slide, and jungle gym. "
  • Geibelb
"Neighbors are friendly. Halloween is a big hit in the neighborhood and neighbors often get together for bonfires and summer swim nights. Quiet area otherwise. Family friendly. "
  • Carla Carosi
"Butler offers affordable housing minutes from Pittsburgh. Hard to find pet friendly rentals. Some transportation to Pgh. now available but not yet to Cranberry Twp."
  • Chris Bosko
"Very quiet, safe and kid friendly. Neighbors all watch out for each other. Country setting but in suburban Butler."
  • Danielle P.
"Great and safe neighborhood, with a park. I have raised 2 kids here and they love this area! awesome neighbors!"
  • Jenna M. L.
"There are a lot of drugs and unsavory individuals here. I wouldn’t live anywhere in the city and I live in the “nice” area."
  • Clintandmelanie M.
"Lots of yard space. Large yards and pet friendly Freeport Trail is super close. Great vets and pets stores close as well "
  • Tawna K.
"It’s fine here for dogs. A few places (not legally) I let my dog run off leash that are close by. The downside to this area is that there are a lot of people walking around. So if your dog barks at people from inside the home then this place would be torture for you!"
  • Brianna B.
"Butler Township has very strict dog laws. This can be both a good thing and a bad thing. You cannot have your dog off-leash at any time unless you have a fenced yard. If your dog barks when you're not home, even 10 minutes straight is enough for a police call. I love it, but there's alot of irresponsible dog owners here. "
