Disconnected. There is a lot to be desired about this school compared to the other elementary schools in the district and in the community at large. The principal simply does not seem to care. As a new family too the area and school we weren't given a tour or properly welcomed. I had to request a visit with her when there was a bullying incident early in the school year. When making simple inquiries she provides short, cold dismissive comments and has no interest in the motivation, thought or idea behind the request. She treats parents as problems to be dealt with. I wish I could pull my children out of Hudson and I wish I knew how disconnected, and unconcerned Lisa Hilpert would be.The arts program is also non existent. Parents never see their kids creations because they do not do anything creative or worth sharing it seems. No clay works, no weaving, no paper mache, no self portraits, no mimicking other great art works to be displayed...nothing ever comes home. We have to supplement with projects at home, which is fine, but woefully disappointing compared to past schools.The teachers are kind amd good at what they do! There is never any homework or details provided about what the kids are working on so families can support the studies at home. I belive that is a school district policy. Kids with additional needs get left behind this way. I wish I would have known all of this about the school before sending my kids there.
