Neighborhood Description

Commonly called Ravensworth Farm the neighborhood was built during the 1960-1965 time frame. Just outside the I-495 "Washington Beltway" the community is very convenient to downtown Washington, D. C. (driving time is approximately 15-20 minutes during non-rush hour.) The neighborhood is just across Braddock Road from a wonderful Fairfax County fitness and recreation center and park land with many recreational facilities. Ravensworth also borders on Lake Accotink, a huge park with jogging paths, minature golf, a marina for small non-motorized boats and canoes. The neigborhood is one of the most popular communities in Northern Virginia because of its locale and amenities.
