Currently, the camp is set up for seasonal use with water drawn from the lake. New owners can elect to have a well drilled. There is a private septic system to handle the sinks, indoor toilet, shower and laundry. If you are working outdoors, the outhouse is handy.
Additional 1.32 acres of land available with driveway access and cleared spot for a large camper. Many camp owners on the lake side do not also own the lots directly behind them on the other side of the road, so they have no control over how the property is used. We bought the additional lots to provide a buffer and to use for family who arrive by RV and want their privacy. You can barely see our neighbor's camp from our camp because of all the nice trees. With a gentle slope into East Grand Lake, backing a trailer with a small boat into the water is a breeze. Getting a dock/ramp in and out of the water is easily done. Most lots are very steep and need a stairway system to access the lake. We chose our lot 40 years ago because of the very gentle slope to the water from the camp location. Larger boats can access the lake from the public boat launch nearby.
Surrounded by trees, each of the lots will supply plenty of firewood for outdoor use in the fire pit or a future wood burning stove that can easily be connected to the existing Metalbestos chimney. Wood can be stored in the outbuilding. The mudroom/enclosed porch is where we kept all our fishing and recreational gear. There's a lot of options if you want to add more buildings. Inside, there is plentiful storage and built-ins throughout.
