NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy husband works for the government as an analyst. We recently moved into the area and are very happy with our choice to raise our children in Greene County. I love our child's teacher. He is hands on and beloved by his students. This year my child tested in the 96% (nationwide) in reading and 85% in math. We are quite happy with her scores and can only expect them to get better. Greene County does have a higher proportion of economically disadvantaged children than some of the surrounding districts, however, we don't find it to be an issue. The school is doing really well with our child. I especially love how down to earth other families in Greene are. As more government folks like ourselves move into the area, I'm certain scores will improve as the school's demographics evolve.Parent Review13y ago - William Monroe High School

Greene County is lovely but there is a fair amount of rural poverty. I think the school is making great strides and the test score / rankings are beginning to show that in spite of the number of students that start with an educational disadvantage.Parent Review11y ago
