"We love it here. The town is safe and people are friendly. The city maintains roads and keeps the streets clean. There are many town activities throughout the year. "
  • Amy Sheehan
"We have an annual block party/potluck and a pre-trick or treat party. Neighborhood group chat on Messenger."
  • Denise Fletcher
"We’ve lived here 40 years. It’s a gorgeous little town. Great hiking, kayaking canoeing, a beautiful down town, state parks with lakes, town golf course on gorgeous rolling hills, fabulous schools, safe and friendly people. What’s not to like. "
  • Trulia User
"Walking distance to elementary school, walking trails, petting farm, 2 miles to grocery store, retail shopping. "
  • Djcoup
"it is a farm community in between residential areas so it has small town feel with everything you need to grow."
  • Gbruckner
"I work from home and hardly ever commute. Access to highways is easy. Boston, JFK and Newark are within 2 to 3 hours. Bradley is 20 from Simsbury"
  • Janice K.
"Mainly local and state roads with lots of traffic. Stop and go and lots of traffic lights. From Simsbury, there is no good way to quickly access the interstate highways. "
  • Sradziew
"Great schools and tons of sports, library, town events, park and rec activities for kids throughout the year. "
  • Jen P.
"People are always walking their dogs, there is some sidewalks as well as a park for letting them run or play or swim"
  • Khs13
"There are multiple directions to choose when driving to highway or city. Lovely views of Avon mountain while driving around."
  • happy neighbor
"There are many kids in this neighborhood and often there are family get-togethers for Halloween, snow days or an impromptu Cinco de Mayo celebration."
  • Jhigh10041
"Big lots, no playing in the street. Lots of wildlife. Very, very safe. Beautiful neighborhood. Not a walkable area. "
  • Robert M.
"Not a bad commute to Hartford and Springfield. Town is great with snow removal. Scenic drive..................."
  • Flaw2u
"Lived here 20 years, attended Tariffville school. Very walker friendly area, few restaurants within walking distance. School is easily walked to. Sadly, St Bernards church closed, so a church is no longer in close walking distance. If you feel up to it, the center of Simsbury is a good walk, I've walked that far 5 times, most dangerous part, for biking/ walking, is the hill on 315, very narrow (bike?) lane. Tariffville park is also a great walk, has a baseball field, and river access. I do not suggest going downstream from Tariffville park as Tariffville gorge has strong rapids, but the park does make for a great start if paddling upstream and planning on just relaxing trip back, park closes at dusk and is closed for winter."
  • Johnhamiltonbell
"Beautiful woods surrounding the Great Pond State Park make this a great neighborhoód with trails and plenty of wildlife."
  • evbousquet
"I have lived in Tariffville for four years and I love it here! My neighbors are friendly and it’s a great place to raise your children."
  • dcaldharma
" Davey Street is a low-traffic private road immediately adjacent to walking & biking trails in Stratton Brook State Park, trailes that can take you West to Town Forest Woods & Collinsville or East to downtown Simsbury and the Rail Trail"
  • bruinsinc1
"live here work here too gorgeous with high quality malls and stores top rated schools and no or little crime best climate no storms "
