I picked up my daughter from Livonia High School today after she finished all sections of the LEAP. It was nice to see the principal and the two assistant principals say hello to me as they watched all of the students. I picked her up after she finished her meal in the cafeteria. She always enjoys the meal they prepare. The school is extremely clean and secure. The students I observed were very well behaved. When the principal walked up to me to shake my hand, I thought to myself, he is going to tell me she is misbehaving but he told me she behaves at school. I wish she would behave at home. There were a lot of teachers standing outside in the courtyard watching the students. Everyone was extremely professional and polite. I was nervous about her high school experience because of COVID-19; however, she is enjoying her experience and loves all of her teachers. The curriculum is extensive, focused, coherent, and appropriately challenging. Livonia High School offers many electives. The community is extremely safe. All of her teachers are constantly motivating and encouraging her. Every morning she is excited to go to school. When my mother passed away, the guidance counselor provided checked in on her to offer social-emotional support; however, we were all prepared and ready for my mother to die. She was 92 y/o and lived a good life and it was time. Nevertheless, they checked in on her at school and I was greatful they took the time to do this. It is a safe school and I asked her if they ever have any problems and she said they do not. The school is extremely diverse and all the students were getting along in the courtyard when I saw them today. From the time I walked into the school, the staff in the office were extremely friendly, engaging, helpful, and welcoming. Everyone was kind, respectful, and professional.

Rougon is a great school, all my kids and grand-kids went or still go there. Mr Ted was wonderful, but Miss Pasty seems to be doing a great job as well. Some teachers,( won't call any names) do not seem to great at caring about the education of the students. This is just my personal opinion.
