My child has been written up for some of the most ridiculous reasons, this school has a serious violence issue with kids bring drugs and other very dangerous things to school. Do not recommend.

I graduated from this school and went on to college. Honestly, the school gives you the basics. Everything you need is available and not much more. The school does its best with the small budget and resources it has. Most of the teachers have a lot of knowledge around the subject they teach. The music program is amazing and it continues to grow. The band director there is probably the best teacher/mentor I have ever had. I think it is a given that there will be problems among students and some teachers that will give you a hard time, but if you keep to yourself and work hard it is not too difficult to succeed in this school. The counselors are amazing and odds are there is at least one teacher you will have who will be there for you and be your friend. It is definitely not a perfect school but it is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I think the worst experiences I had at this school had to do with a student disrupting the class, or maybe some decision made by administration that made the school day more inconvenient. There is also a hint of favoritism between some of the teachers and certain students, sometimes it makes other students feel left out or treated unfairly. These are all things that can probably be found in most schools. The unique thing about this school is that there are some teachers who are incredibly helpful as a teacher and as a friends. Overall, it is not hard to succeed in this school if you are a good student and you are open minded. It can be a great experience if you really want it to be.

Great school to have your kids in. My son loves it and is doing very well. His teacher is always available to help in anyway. This school is great all over.
