Colville High School has been the worst school I’ve ever been to.

The school isn't bad when it comes to teaching classes but when it comes to being bullied the leader feels 1-2 days in the lunchroom the answer. My child was pushed to the ground and his phone was broken and the child was given 2 days in the lunchroom cleaning tables. That will sure curb bullies.

If you have a special needs child, or not, please do all you can to listen and trust your child. If you come across any problem that you cannot resolve or get help with from the school, do not be afraid to go elsewhere for help. Look into getting an advocate that specializes in school settings, and/or write each member of the school board. They will help you know your rights and what you can do to resolve the issue, or they will help you through it. As for my personal review for Hofstetter elementary school:I would like to start out with that the children don't wash their hands with soap and water because basically each student gets a little hand wipe after recess and a little squirt of sanitizer before lunch instead. The colds ran rampant throughout the year. "The best they have" for their special needs students is a teacher/aide and the principal. It's a "Good 'ol girls club." I feel they are long overdue for retirement because they no longer care for the welfare of the children they teach. And the aide, she's just there acting as a special needs aide when in reality she will just play and hang out with her multiple grandchildren there and leave your special needs child in the dust as she walks away from them. Go ahead and ask for her credentials. They will balk every time. They are all sorely lacking in any ability to perform as professionals and mature adults. We had countless meetings, and were utterly patient and cordial for months just wanting our child to have a good experience and to be able to learn in a safe environment and above all wanted to find a solution to the issue at hand. All we wanted was to work out issues that arose in a timely, productive manner for all involved but nothing changed, and issues worsened. Their attitude and mistreatment towards our child and to us elevated. IEP was not followed. Problems arose, problems continued without investigation or solution. They will gladly sweep any concern of yours under their rug of lies just so they don't have to deal with you or your child. They will make you and your child's life very difficult. Just think twice before being blinded by their smooth talk. And above all else, listen to your child. Trust your child. They know what's going on.
