8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a tutor/mentor the staff made it very hard to find information about the student schedules and more information about the students progress. I felt as if they are just allowing the students to do bare minimal . In other terms " Passing them alone so then once they are done its not the school problem" The majority of students are not prepared for college. New students that transfer to the school are not assisted by guidance counselors to deal with separation and personality disorders. I asked my student how can we prepare for class when you have "NO BOOKS". I was told you cant... After visiting the school I found out that majority of the courses are online. Hmm... In order to help my student I need a syllabus of the work and a book or guide. Instead, I was told that I have to depend on the student to get the book from a teacher. How can I depend on the student when the main reason I need the book is because the student is not complying. So in other words I guess I will have no book. I was told I can contact the students teachers via email. Well all of them did not respond except for one. Hmm. Useless!!! I am very upset and it feels as if the school is setting the students up for FAILURE!!! 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a Rollings Visual Arts student a LONG time ago. I tried out back in 3rd grade for 4th grade and got accepted. They took 4th grade away when I was supposed to start so I started in 1999 for 5th grade and went through 2003.The school was the COOLEST school ever. As if elementary couldn’t have gotten any better, I got to start my first year at Rollings still somewhere between both amazing worlds of elementary and middle school (they didn’t add the “Middle” til the next year). The teachers were the BEST, the number of times we got to walk out of class to support and enjoy student performances, be in one, or just go have fun at the Azalea Festival!!!I got to learn art, and my last year there my painting was put into the Gibbes Museum of Art (2003). 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has gone here K-4 so far and will be attending 5th grade here next school year. This has been a great school. The GATE program and Extended Day programs have been amazing for my son learn and bond with his peers. My son loves this school and looks forward to his 5th grade year.
