Big Springs Elementary School is the BEST school that my child has EVER attended!! We moved to the area in 2007, my daughter finished 6th, 7th and 8th grades here and was always pushed to do her absolute best. To the credit of the great teachers and support staff my daughter went from being in special ed, to a general ed honor roll student. The Staff is professional and very caring, they make it a point to make new families feel welcome and part of the community. There is a Before School Program from 7 to 8 am and then there is an after school program open until 6pm free everyday. The NEW ASP staff changes this year really made a GREAT impact on the entire school climate. The Principal/Superintendent Jim Pindell is a Man of great respect and requires the same from the whole campus, the school has greatly improved since he has been here. The staff changes, the high expectations for teachers and students, and the overall GREAT family atmosphere makes families happy to bring their kids to Big Springs. I highly recommend Big Springs Union Elementary School to anyone moving to the area or just needing a new school environment for their children.
