"This is a beach town. Some are full time residents and some are part time. Some home owners rent their homes to vacationers. In the winter it’s a ghost town, in summer it’s super crowded. I am a part timer. I was blessed with great neighbors. Someday I will live here full time, but there’s not many stores or businesses to fulfill every need."
  • Sassy B.
"Your dog will always be wet and muddy. Isn’t that enough? It rains constantly and everything is built on sand. That equals everyone tracking in mud all day long "
  • Crystallace18
"I've lived here for six years and have never had an issue with a neighbor or vacationer personally. this end of town is quiet and peaceful. "
  • Douglas B.
"it's by the pacific ocean and a couple minute walk to the beach. nice place to visit. neighborhoods are all walkable and trails connect everyone to the beach"
  • Johna M.
"What a fabulous place for the 4th of July - there is a massive fireworks display, parade and fun races (you win hot dogs) :-) all on the 4th. 2010 Coastal living magazine voted Rockaway Beach in the top 5 locations for the 4th celebration. Did I mention the choo choo train (authentic) that runs all day from downtown Garibaldi? Awesome!! Many restaurants (Pizza, Mexican, Rockaway Tavern and Grumpy's cafe for Breakfast) make choosing a place to eat easy. Rockaway Beach is about 20 minutes from Tillamook which hosts the Tillamook Cheese factory and a large Fred Meyer. Many places to purchase fresh seafood on the way, like Bay City Oyster. Going north you are about 40 minutes to Cannon Beach. Awesome location for a vacation spot and beautiful white sandy beaches. Unlike Washington State, you cannot drive on the beaches. Beach fires are wonderful as there is usually little wind. Make this your home away from home!"
