It is sad that the teachers call the boys the R word my son told me that a teacher said that and i will lose my mind if it happens again this year!

My daughter has been to Buena High School and CAS in Sierra Vista and her experiences have left us feeling like a GED was her only option in is area. After her failed attempt at online school at Prima Vera, she decided to try Tombstone High School. Because of their low scores I was MORE than worried; but, since she has been there her grades and outlook on education has improved! She has found caring students, teachers, and administrators. Her one "problem" teacher is working with her to teach in the way that she learns so they can both be successful at their "jobs". School is not about scores based on educational opportunities, it is more about the comraderie of the students and the care and commitment of the faculty. If my child doesn't feel comfortable in her learning environment and important to the teachers and administration, she will not like school and will not succeed. I am so glad that she is in an environment where she can thrive! Tombstone High School should get a "10"! Tombstone takes bullying seriously, as well, and my daughter feels safe-unlike at the higher "scoring" Buena High School.

In my experience of sending my children to school, Mrs. Paz running Walter J Meyer has brought division, fear, and threats to my children. Especially in middle school. I would greatly love to feel the welcoming community that this school has previously provided before it had Mrs. Paz as a principal.
