7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am currently a student here. Some teachers are very nice, other teachers are absolutely mean, no offense. One teacher called a student an idiot. Not all teachers discipline very well. Bullying and harassment is a 3/5 rating, not all teachers care. Rarely any fun days, ex. Dress downs, movies, etc. Lots of children curse and it is not acknowledged.Student Review6mo ago7 Reviews - Guyton Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSeen kids get loaded into the wrong cars and sent home with people they barely know. I guess because the child sees these people every so often and they trust their teachers they will go wherever.Another issue they pump kids full of terrible food. Every other day my child comes home saying they had ice cream, candy, junk food. It's disgusting how much garbage they hand out and we wonder why childhood obesity is a thing. Yes we allow our kids junk food but it's not something we give them every day especially with all the candy they bring home. We teach our children at home so I can't speak on progress of the teaching at school since ours have no problems academically. They say they like their teachers so I assume the teachers are good but they also hand out candy every other day so it can be bought love.Really I am disappointed at our education system.Parent Review1y ago5 Reviews - Effingham County High School

"There is no side walk so you are walking in the road. no dog park in the area as well. Pet owners should be more curtious of the people that live next to them when letting their dogs bark outside in the late nights and early mornings."

"Closest Walmart/Kroger is about 20 minutes. Closest gas station is about 10 mins. I'm use to driving a bit for everything so I don't think the commute is too bad. Some people may disagree. "

"Quiet place, no close neighbors, open and clear night skies. We do hear the occasional gunshots in the distance but it's probably someone killing a coyote."
