This school is definitely the worst experience my children have had in their educational career. Some of the teachers are warm and friendly examples of what an adult should be, while others seriously lack the ability to show leadership. The leadership structure behind the school system is confusing on the best days, and you never really know who you need to speak with about your concerns. Although I never had problems getting in to talk to the principals, it did not however seem like it did any good. In my specific case my child was blamed for being a target for bullying. While I sent him off to school everyday to be tormented. The school's response was that the other children did not mean to pick on him. And that was just my oldest. My youngest child has not learned to read and he is at the second year of 2nd grade. The response I received for this was that I should teach him to read. So This year I will. Neither of my children will be re-enrolling in this school, and everyone I speak with will also be encouraged to seek alternative education for their children, until Wewoka's school system can improve their methods.
