"Commute is great. Many access points to various surrounding cities. You can be in Suffolk, Virginia Beach, or Newport News in about twenty minutes and to Norfolk in about ten."
  • Hellomayann
"I used to live in this area and I could say that it is safe. The only thing that might bother you, is if you live close by the train tracks, train can be noisy and most of the time, ambulance & cop cars pass by portlock road."
  • Shirleecamaquin
"Nice sometimes quiet. Area is about a 10-15 driving distance from a lot of places. Nice community. Beautiful Victorian houses."

"Was a little worried when I first moved into south Norfolk but I have really enjoyed the neighborhood so far. I feel comfortable walking my dog, there is a nice park near by, and my neighbor is so nice and friendly. There is a neighborhood watch group which makes me feel at ease but I have had zero problems or have felt uncomfortable even walking my dog at night. Street lights could be better but not bad. There is a dollar general within walking if I need something quick and the library is VERY nice. I like it here!"
  • Cheyenne r.
"A great neighborhood. A lot of foot traffic but very friendly ! I would recommend this neighborhood to anyone considering it!"
  • Mdblowe

  • Vaqarrie20
