I have had 4 grandchildren go to Rosedale and I voluteered there. I love it and wish all my grandkids could go there. I have 2 that I am trying to get their parents to send them there now.

Special education staff at the junior/senior high school level is not a supportive group for the students with special needs who are in their care. The SPED staff can be often petty, unprofessional, and will sometimes gossip about the students' personal lives and the personal affairs of the teaching assistant staff, or staff in general. Student teachers and beginning teachers in the department are often treated poorly, made to feel inferior and ignorant. It is often a culture of bullying among members of the SPED staff that has gone unnoticed by administration. The behavior among this SPED staff is often mean, plain and simple. In general, the SPED teachers are not professional when they engage in screaming matches with their students. The veteran SPED teachers are dismissive of students with special needs and see them as lazy and not students who need help. There is a petty nature to the members of the SPED staff leadership. The SPED leadership engages in subversive, revenge behavior to get other teachers into trouble, pretending to be supportive and then using privileged information to share with admins or other department members. It is a traumatizing experience for a student teacher or assistive teacher to be in, unprofessional in every sense of the word. The SPED department leadership engages in aggressive verbal behavior, bordering on and exceeding abuse towards student and adults alike. Very emotionally damaging and traumatizing. This leadership and the department staff need to be more scrutinized and evaluated.

Montezuma Elementary is a great school.I went there when i was a kid and to tell u the truth it has improved 120 percent better.The kids are learning more things everyday.They get there own lap tops during the school year which helps out alot.The teachers are more hands on with the students which i really like that.My oldest and middle child both attend the school now and they just love the principal Ms.Britton. Every since Ms.Britton became the principal she has changed that school around for the better she added on to the school remodeled the school got new play ground equipment.They got more help this school year with school supplies at the beginning of the year which that helped the parents out alot.Since the poverity level is up.Parents cant always afford to buy new clothes and shoes and supplies and pay for book rentals when there money is tight at home cause one parent is working or drawing unemployment..Then the school also offers to help with pictures, paying for sport activities.So that helps right there.The teachers are all amazing at the school.They try n enteriact with all the children even if there not in there grade level or class.The children also are well behaved
