Description

This is THE location in historic Georgetown. Located at the corner of Front Street and Cannon Street, this home is only two blocks from all of the shopping and dining that the Harborwalk has to offer. Simply cross the road and you are at the doorstep of the freshest seafood that South Carolina has to offer, courtesy of Indepedent Seafood Company. Not in the mood to go out? Then just relax on the front porch and catch a breeze off the Sampit River or just enjoy the post card view of Front Street, draped with its signature live oaks. Does life move a little slower here? Simply put, yes. And it should. There is too much history and charm to not slow down and take it all in. Are there better locations? Simply put, no. This home is situated right in the cradle of Olde South charm and hospitality. While maintaining it's original character and appearance, the inside has been updated to marry the old with the new.

The first thing you'll notice when entering the front door are the newly refinished heartwood pine floors. The home also features four fireplaces that uniquely accent each main room. The kitchen has been completely updated to include exotic granite tops and Samsung appliances. There is also a newly renovated mud room/laundry room and lots of pantry space. Upstairs houses the bedrooms as well as a completely renovated bathroom.

The renovation highlights are as follows: architectural shingle roof, new paint (interior and exterior), tile flooring, carpet, two renovated bathrooms, renovated kitchen, refinished hardwoods, new light fixtures, new plumbing fixtures
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

"It’s a historic area, the second oldest port in the state of South Carolina. The streets are lined with live oak trees that never go bear. They shed their leaves a little bit in February. But it’s beautiful and green on every street all year round. I love trees more than anything. So this makes this place happen to me. Although living in a small town, it can get quite gossipy so I do keep to myself. At least when it comes to the important stuff. But in general, everyone here is very friendly. And when hurricanes happen people work together to help each other."
  • Trulia User
"Very cozy neighborhood. Extremely quiet. No guard gate so can be accessed by public. About 5-10 minutes from the main part of time. "
  • Kimyoung4288
"Great small town with a good sense of community. The people are super friendly and helpful. Plenty of local bars and restaurants to enjoy gorgeous water views. Lots of fresh local seafood. Just a good layed back place to live life."
  • Lynnannwilliams75
"Lots of dogs and people walking them. Most people are cool and clean up 😁very friendly and welcoming here! Especially in the historic district. "
  • Anneluvs2sing
"Great family neighborhood. People are friendly. Close to stores and Georgetown water front. Quiet community. "
  • Kevin
"Very friendly area. I live in Georgetown county but outside of the city limits. I work for the hospital system. I find most people in the area are friendly and will offer help if asked. As we do also. "
  • Lynnannwilliams75
"Great neighborhood! So beautiful and everyone is super friendly! And the trees that line the streets stay green year round. Heaven!"
  • Kevinr.ayres
"The public school system isn’t as desirable in our area. Our children attended private school. Medical institutions are easily accessible from dialysis, cardiac care to oncology. We are located centrally between Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Florence. Many restaurants and retail shopping available. "
  • CJ
"You see people regularly walking their dogs with the whole family. Sometimes stopping to chat with neighbors. Very friendly"
  • Annehowellscott
"We all take very good care of our landscaping and we have beautiful street lights. It’s a safe neighborhood we all have high end alarm systems with cameras. "
  • A p. l.
"You have to be careful about dogs being out unattended. There are not many dogs in my neighborhood many people stay moving."
  • Teresa a. K.
"People walk their dogs all the time. They would be welcomed here. Private and quiet, very familiar my and pet oriented. "
  • Annehowellscott
"We have swim in movie nights. Set up the big screen outside and swim while watching a movie. Great street with good neighbors."
  • Kathy B.
"It’s a private and secluded beach where the world disappears. its quiet and beautiful with ocean sunrises and marsh sunsets. My only complaint is the new sand brought in for ‘renourishment’. It’s taken the soft sand, gentle on your feet and replaced it with large, jagged shells; impossible for walking. "
  • Edergraves
"The Historic District of Georgetown is a special place. We can walk to the waterfront, the park, the shops and restaurants. And the neighbors have welcomed us so genuinely. We feel like locals already!"
  • TYRONE O. W.
"I live here in love this town I one of the best town to live in. Schools are great. I love my family my kids my church family an friend"
  • Starr S.
"Marina Village is in the private, gated community of Belle Isle Yacht Club, and situated on the banks of Winyah Bay. A hidden jewel, yet convenient to shopping and restaurants in Georgetown -- only 10 minutes by boat or car."
