5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son started kindergarten this year and he loves Colson, as do I. There is a new principal, Mr. Mendez, who is doing an awesome job and Mr. Keller I've been told has been there for years. The front office treats you like family. The school is clean and there are a TON of fun events that keep my son having a great time. He has learned so much this year and his teacher has been awesome. She's very patient with him and has helped him grow in reading a lot, which is where he needed help. I only have one child and was seriously nervous about finding him the right school but I feel confident that he will reach his full potential here. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHe’s a quick update. It’s 2023, all the bad reviews are pretty spot on currently. The children here are horrible. The parent do not care. They are being set up for failure. They only have a good football program and that is it. The sad part about it is even though they have a good football program, %99 of them will go no where with football due to how bad they are. Very sad no higher ups have stepped up to fix things. These kids need a positive role model. They skip school with ease, I called the student affairs and they do not track these kids, nor do they care that they skip. People and parents have to do better because they are creating a huge future problem. These kids want to be hood so bad when this area isn’t even bad except for the kids. "There are many dog owners in the area that walk their dogs regularly. We own German shepherds that are super sweet but everyone respects our space when we walk our dogs. Everyone here is friendly and enjoys meeting each others' furry friends."

"I see people walking their dogs every day and both owners and pets are friendly. People always pick up after their pets. Owners always walk their dogs with a leash. I never saw a dog with no leash/collar/caregiver. "

"awful..filled with drug dealers and users...kids are not looked after its sad...there is always trash no matter what you do there is gonna be a neighbor that doesn't care..What's worse almost all property owners are slum lords they dont care either. I've lived in 2 different areas of seffner and it's the same thing [10 years]..I'm out next year"
