I am a student at William B. Murrah High School located in central Jackson area. The school is an ideal school for students aiming to strenghten their career opportunities in the metro-area. The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities that aid in providing science and mathematical preparation for potential jobs that will require a rigorous background in these subjects.I believe the teachers are very alert and helpful when striving to teach individuals and keep on task. I am very happy to be part of a strong program.

This school helps me more than my old school.Power APAC has brightened my path .The emphasis courses are great.

The principal is over emotional and only cares about appearing as the savior. I did all I could to help my son succeed in school with an established IEP and they still let him fail 2nd grade. He was given an award for most improved in the area that had the failing grade and yet they still tried to convince me he should be held back. The principal was more concerned about hurting the teacher's feelings than my son's education and self esteem. I had several meetings with several staff members, and the teacher throughout the school year and was told he was doing just fine. When this was obviously not the case, I had another meeting with the teacher and she basically told me there isn't anything I could really do to help get his grade up and she said this in the middle of the school year. They could not explain to how to better help my child but expected your kids to just magically learn the material without learning from their mistakes. If you could care less about your child's education and simply need a babysitter with activities then this is the school for you.

I go to this school and at is amazing they staff encourages you to do your best and it is really easy to make friends here because everyone is so welcoming.

Moving back to MS was a difficult choice, considering the education disparities between Jackson and Dallas, TX. Yet, Bailey has been a breath of fresh air...both in teacher and family engagement. They've championed several exciting events for the kids, while simultaneously stressing the importance of educational excellence.
