Weird vibe here and strange politics, but that was North Schuylkill forever; school class size only stayed stable because Cardinal Brennan closed up. Pottsville Nativity and Tamaqua Marian are pretty far from the district's further destinations in the Ashland and Ringtown area. Tuition increases in those schools and in that geography, which is why NS has the same number of pupils as 20 years ago, even tho the overall population decreased. Bullying has always been a problem, and the geographic setup always seemed to cause divisions. But I don't think those divisions were as bad as 30-plus years ago, when the Ashland and Frackville areas' kids didn't always really like each other in my brother's days in the 90s, especially jocks. Academics are average; the school has both good and bad areas, like many schools in the coal region. One very positive thing I could say is that the sports fields and funding for sports are definitely way better than they were 20-30 years ago, when I graduated and when my brother played sports for the Spartans. We were probably the worst in the area in terms of facilities and funding back then.

Horrible school. When you go into school about an issue about bullying nothing is done about it. You have to be worried to send your child on the bus because of how bad they are and when you talk to the school they say they have nothing to do with the bus. Then the vice principal can wear leggings but the kids can’t your supposed to lead by example if they children can’t wear them in the elementary or high school.
