8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved here 4 years ago from upstate NY. As far as academics St James has well exceeded the performance of my sons previous school. Most of his teachers have been good with their communication keeping me apprised of what's going on. However I did have issues with one teacher in particular and when I made my displeasure known it was like it fell on deaf ears.I am also having a lot of trouble with bullying and the administration doesn't seem to care! Instead when my son has finally had enough and starts telling the bullies where to go he gets suspended for swearing! Nothing is done to the bully! Are you kidding me?! Maybe he wouldn't have lost his $h!t if something was being done!I just sent another email to one of the assistant principals today so we'll see what happens. If they don't address this situation I will be looking to escalate ny complaint.I wouldn't discount St James if your looking for a school however you will need to be diligent as a parent.Parent Review1y ago12 Reviews - St. James Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is rounded up to a 5 star. It's more like a 4.9 (repeating nine) because of the guidance counselors not really helping any situation from stopping and how my child got hit in the eye with a pencil (led side) and the kid that did it only got suspended off the bus (only) for a day.Parent Review1y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 5 Newcastle Loop.

"Lovely residential golf community conveniently located to shopping, schools, parks and sightseeing. Homes are located on sizable lots in a park like setting. Most homes back to the golf course."

"Families in the Clear Pond Subdivision in Myryle Beach SC 29579 are attentive to their children. Many walk and stay with their younger kids when the school bus picks them for classes. The kids are well behaved as well."

"The commute to and from work is a little hectic during tourist season but still okay. What takes 12 minutes in the off season takes about 20 during the on season. I just plan accordingly."

"Dude, my neighborhood is awesome! It’s got everything—cool spots to hang out, friendly people, and a vibe that just feels like home. You can find great food, parks to chill, and even some hidden gems if you know where to look. And the best part? The traffic isn’t too bad! Sure, it gets a little busy sometimes, but nothing crazy. You can get around pretty easily, whether you’re driving, biking, or just walking. It’s the kind of place where you actually enjoy being outside. Honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anywhere else!"

"We have lived here either all our lives or in and off all our lives. It has changed a lot in the last 30+ years. It’s definitely way more developed and there really isn’t an off season any more. This neighborhood is in the center of Myrtle with quick and easy access to multiple roadways and attractions."

"Carolina Forest in myrtle beach is an amazing area to live. Specifically Plantation Lakes! Great People and a family friendly environment. Plus most of the homes are custom build with easy access to the community. amenities. A few other communities like the Farm, Waterbridge and the Parks, to name a few offer homes that fit several budgets. All the communities on Carolina Forest offer the perfect driving distance to get to the beach while being far enough away from the business areas during tourist season. "
