This school was amazing and it shows in the fact that only 2% of teachers are first year which means one in fifty. If you look at the other reviews, the one star reviews are written by parents who have never actually taken a class there. The school has an active community service club that actually helps the community and has another community service club that helps those with special needs and raises awareness. In fact the California scholarship federation did a joint project with the other two community service clubs to bring up issues regarding special needs students at the district board meeting. Some of the parents are talking about "safety issues" but i have never had a problem with this. In fact many students are actively protective of each other including those that they don't know. I currently go to the 26th best high school in texas but i much rather prefer la sierra high school as the people understand what hardship is. People are cognizant of what society means and how it supports the individual which is in direct contrast with my current school. The best part is that the "bad apples" want nothing to do with the "smart people" so it provides a social barrier.

This school is a disaster waiting to happen. The school does not care about student safety, they disregard student mental health. And when parents speak out against the administration they turn to retaliation and intimidation instead of compassion and empathy. Consider another school for your child.

i'm currently attending this school as a student, so far this school has been good lately. Our principle lately has been taking us to field trips to fun places, and this year we are heading to johns incredible pizza (i mean it's a little too far but okay). Also, the teachers are pretty supportive and kind, PE is pretty good as well, but unless it's over 80-90 degress, we have to do PE in the heat if it's under 80 and above 70 which is pretty upsetting because I noticed a lot of students are all sweating after a heatwave once their PE ends. I know some may be concerned due to some bad reviews but don't worry, this school has changed to be better since 2025. For parents, if your looking for a school which is supportive and occassionally has something fun to do, this is one of my recommendations :)
