School needs to do better with transportation. My niece who is in kindergarten, has been dropped off at the wrong location. The paperwork was updated before the school year started. No adult was at the location to pick her up.The bus driver just left her there, she walked to a house where she saw a child.This child called her mom the mom spoke Spanish my niece speaks English. I’m grateful that the mom looked in her backpack and found my niece’s mom’s number.We tell our children not to talk to strangers but what are they to do when the school district loses your child?My niece is frightened to return to school.This happened again the next day, with my nephew, he is also in kindergarten. He spoke up, told the teacher and the bus driver he had to be on a different bus and yet they put him on the wrong bus.The staff needs to get their act together. This little one’s do not feel safe. Our kids could have ended up in the wrong hands, attacked by a dog or bitten by a snake. I’m so disappointed with the lack of communication.

Former student here. I did not realize how bad the school was until I went to college and talked to other people about their high school experiences and comparing the two, Ellicott was pretty terrible. There was little preparation for college or real life. There are some good teachers there that cared and wanted to be there, there were also quite a few teachers who were just trying to get their foot in the door to teaching so they could work at better schools (cant blame them). Because there was a turnover of teachers there was not the consistency and care for the community that there seems to be at neighboring schools. Another area the school lacks in is schools spirit, when traveling to other schools for any sort of game, the student sections were large and loud and cared about the teams winning. Ellicott was the only school that had nearly zero student section, nobody cared.

Okay, ellicott is different, very sad, and depressing, low education system, but we learn from most of our teachers
