  • Bret R.
"People just let their dogs roam and do whatever they want, most aren’t on leashes. And dogs are seen all over town just roaming"
  • Tweety3318jn
"Im on the mtn. But public transit goes every where an in town has lots of things to do plenty places to eat "
  • Dawn J.
"Beauty scenery. Mountains in a peaceful valley. Great highway into a metropolitan area less than 30 miles away. Small town life with a quick commute to a variety of job opportunities. "
  • Dawn J.
"My commute takes about five minutes and there is a minimum amount of traffic except before and after school lets out for the day. "
  • Bryan
"6 yr residence. Have loved the quiet cozy country / small town atmosphere. Raised our daughter here. Also has great schools and can still allow a child to be a child with little worries. "
  • Lindsay N.
"We have a fair every spring called valley fest. Also we have a park called the coke ovens where they have a lot of really old outdoor ovens it’s pretty neat looks like a fairy tail kinda. "
  • Bossat316
"I drive my personal car everywhere I go. I do not have access to public transportation. It takes around 20 minutes to get downtown from the mountain I live on. Very private and I chose to live here."
  • derricklm1985
"Ive lived in Dunlap my entire life. Its a town where everybody knows everything about everybody. Its peaceful and quite but privacy can be an issue. Between facebook and topix everybody will know your business, whether its true or not. But the vast majority of the people are nice and welcoming. Theres not much choice for telephone or cable providers. Bledsoe telephone cooperative offeres telephone, cable, internet...but they are extremely expensive. Most people in Dunlap have cell phones and internet through cell phone carriers. And they also mostly go with dish network for satellite services. Theres not much industry for jobs in dunlap so most people commute to work to chattanooga mostly. If your looking for a quite town thats low on crime and has decent schools, then Dunlap is great for you. If your looking for a place with alot of local jobs and lots of shopping, then you need to be closer to chattanooga. Overall, Dunlap is a great town and a great place to live....as long as you dont mind the great views and peacefulness of a small town."
  • Kevin W.
"Quiet, small, but growing rural area just 35-45 minutes away from Chattanooga. Great place to call home."
